(ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹਨ (ਪਰ, ਨਿਰਾਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ !) ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ । ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
You have thousands of eyes, and yet You have no eyes. You have thousands of forms, and yet You do not have even one.
ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਹਨ, (ਪਰ ਨਿਰਾਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਤੇਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਭੀ ਪੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ । ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨੱਕ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਨੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ । ਤੇਰੇ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ।੧।
You have thousands of Lotus Feet, and yet You do not have even one foot. You have no nose, but you have thousands of noses. This Play of Yours entrances me. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਇਸੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ
For His sake, you assumed this body; see God always with you.
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ, ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
God is pervading the water, the land and the sky; He sees all with His Glance of Grace. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ! ਤੂੰ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਇਕ) ਰੁੱਖ ਹੈਂ (ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੈਂ-ਰੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ) ਫੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਟਾਹਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।
You are the tree; Your branches have blossomed forth.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ! ਤੂੰ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ) ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਜਗਤ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈਂ ।
From the very small and subtle, You have become huge and manifest.
(ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀਆਂ) ਬੇਅੰਤ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਬਣ ਕੇ (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ) ਆਪ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ,
He Himself is All-pervading, in endless waves.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਖੇਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ।
The playful sport of the Supreme Lord God cannot be known.
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜੋਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਜਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ) ,
In all light, is His Light.
ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ;
The Lord and Master supports the weave of the fabric of the universe.
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
In all forms, He Himself is pervading.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
Through all eyes, He Himself is watching.
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਿਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ) ਇਸ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ, ਵੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਆਦਿਕ ਕੋਈ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ।
He is beyond the world of the Vedas, the Koran and the Bible.
(ਉਂਞ, ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੩।੧੦੫।
The Supreme King of Nanak is immanent and manifest. ||4||3||105||
ਹੇ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ,
I am a sacrifice to Your almighty creative power which is pervading everywhere.
ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Your limits cannot be known. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਭ ਬੂਟਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਗ (ਗੁਪਤ ਮੌਜੂਦ) ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਘਿਉ (ਮੱਖਣ) ਗੁਪਤ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ,
Fire is contained in all firewood, and butter is contained in all milk.
ਤਿਵੇਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ।੧।
God's Light is contained in the high and the low; the Lord is in the hearts of all beings. ||1||
ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ-ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
Wherever I look, there I see Him present; He is never far away.
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
He is all-pervading, everywhere; O my mind, meditate on Him forever. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਖ਼ਾਸ) ਰੂਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਚਿਹਨ-ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਨਹੀਂ । ਤੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ (ਖ਼ਾਸ) ਜਾਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਖਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਦਿ) ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਖ਼ਾਸ) ਵਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
You have no form or shape, no social class or race.
ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ,
These humans believe that You are far away; but You are quite obviously apparent.
