ਗੋਂਡ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Gond, Fifth Mehl:
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੁਖ ਅਨਦ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਰਣ-ਪਏ ਆਪਣੇ) ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
In His Mercy, He has blessed me with peace and bliss.
ਬਾਲਕ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵਿ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਰਣ-ਪਏ ਆਪਣੇ) ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The Divine Guru has saved His child.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋੁਬਿੰਦ ॥
ਭਾਈ! ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
God is kind and compassionate; He is the Lord of the Universe.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਗਲੇ ਬਖਸਿੰਦ ॥੧॥
ਭਾਈ! ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
He forgives all beings and creatures. ||1||
ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ) ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਸਰੇ ਹਾਂ ।
I seek Your Sanctuary, O God, O Merciful to the meek.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਪਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ! (ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ) ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Meditating on the Supreme Lord God, I am forever in ecstasy. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਇਆਲ ਦੂਸਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
There is no other like the Merciful Lord God.
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ ।
He is contained deep within each and every heart.
ਅਪਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਾ ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਸਵਾਰੈ ॥
ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
He embellishes His slave, here and hereafter.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੈ ॥੨॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸੁੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ।੨।
It is Your nature, God, to purify sinners. ||2||
ਅਉਖਧ ਕੋਟਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ (ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ) ਹੈ ।
Meditation on the Lord of the Universe is the medicine to cure millions of illnesses.
ਤੰਤੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਭਜੀਐ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥
! ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਨਾਮ (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ) ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ।
My Tantra and Mantra is to meditate, to vibrate upon the Lord God.
ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਮਿਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
Illnesses and pains are dispelled, meditating on God.
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗੇ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
The fruits of the mind's desires are fulfilled. ||3||
ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਮਰਥ ਦਇਆਰ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ ।
He is the Cause of causes, the All-powerful Merciful Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਹਾ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥
ੁਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈ ।
Contemplating Him is the greatest of all treasures.
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਉੇਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ।
God Himself has forgiven Nanak;
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਏਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੫॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ ।੪।੧੩।੧੫।
forever and ever, he chants the Name of the One Lord. ||4||13||15||
